Single Object
The assignment was to find one object and then to take twelve pictures of that object, OR find two objects and take six pictures of each. I chose to do the latter. I used a 2015 Mustang and one of my rings that I wear everyday on my right hand ring-finger.
For one of my objects, I chose a 2015 Mustang. I chose this for two reasons: one, it's a Mustang, come on ;D Two, is because I was raised with a certain admiration for fast cars and the power, not just the engine power, that they hold. Getting into a car like the Mustang gives you a feeling of utter freedom and having the control over what you do and how fast you get there is something that has always meant a great deal to me. My favorite shot is the left column, second one down titled "Mustang, Driver's Side". It is my favorite because I think that the raindrops give it a neat texture, and the angle from which it was taken looks professional.
For my second object, I chose a ring that I have worn everyday since mid-September of this year. I went to the Michigan Renaissance Festival with my family, and they have many one-of-a-kind, handcrafted rings there. I hadn't really been looking to buy one, but I went into one of the many shops lining the walkway, and saw this one. It is Citrine, my birthstone, and silver. The man that sold it to me told me that it was also known as the "student stone" because it's supposed to help you concentrate and find motivation when it comes to school. Well this was fitting because I had just transferred to a new school. It seemed perfect for me because I don't like elaborate rings, and this one had just enough sparkle to satisfy. So, he pulled it out of the case and gave it to me to try on, and it happened to be exactly my size. I handed him the money (after a bit of negotiation, of course), and I have not taken it off since... with the exception of these pictures ;D My favorite shot is the very bottom right, titled "Ring, Pumpkin." It is my favorite because there is no distracting background, and it is in black and white- my favorite edit.
